Dating in lockdown

With the day of love fast approaching, our team reached out to 2,000 adults (who are single and actively dating, or in a relationship, but living separately) to see if and how they've been keeping romance alive during lockdown.

The results showed that many of our interviewees are still putting their hearts on the line to ignite or maintain a spark. In fact, over the past 12 months, 34% of our respondents said that they've dabbled in an assortment of online dates, ranging from movie nights and quizzes to wine tastings and workouts.

On the eye health side though, this virtual concept of courting is, unfortunately, taking its toll, with 45% of these British daters suffering from eye strain after too much screen time. However, this drawback (which can be easily avoided), shouldn't stop those in the pursuit to find their person.

If you need some help in the online dating department (no judging!), we've created a fun video, with the help of relationship expert, Dr Becky Spelman, that expands on 20 ideas to torch that flame.
